It was a quiet Wednesday morning when the nightmare began.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A group of five heavily armed terrorists had spent months plotting the perfect school bombing. Today they finally decided to put their blueprint into action. They stormed the building, loaded with guns and an assortment of suspiciously bulky explosion packs. Screams echoed through the hallways. Students and teachers froze in terror. Some poor souls were quickly rounded up as hostages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrorists moved with cold determination, barking orders and waving their weapons. Everyone was deadly terrified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But unknown to them\u2026 there was already a legend inside the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mpampis, also known to his friends simply as Iron Mpampis, had woken up that morning with a strange, nagging foreboding. Call it gut instinct. Call it too much tsipouro the night before. Either way, he was ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moment the first gunshot rang out, Mpampis slipped into the storage room, opened his secret locker (labeled ” Cleaning Supplies \u2013 Do Not Touch”), and activated his pride and joy: the super-iron costume hand-crafted by his genius cousin Bekeridis in a garage in Nea Smyrni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a metallic clank-whirr<\/em>, the suit sealed around him. Red and gold paint job (because why not?), repulsor-like glow from repurposed souvlaki grill elements, and of course, a tiny Greek flag sticker on the chest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stepped into the corridor just as the terrorists turned the corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They froze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Who the hell are you supposed to be?” the leader snarled, raising his rifle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iron Mpampis struck a dramatic pose, cape fluttering (it was actually a tablecloth).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrorists laughed nervously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Last chance, freak. Step aside or……………”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mpampis tilted his head, voice modulator crackling like an old taverna speaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Pawn to d4<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrorists opened fire. Bullets pinged, ricocheted, and basically gave up trying to penetrate the suit. Sparks flew. One guy\u2019s magazine ran dry and he just stared in disbelief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ti sto diaolo?!” one shouted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were scared. They were flabbergasted. Mostly they were confused why this Greek Iron Man just opened with a queen\u2019s pawn like it was a chess insult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They tried to retreat toward the exit.Mpampis was having none of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a casual repulsor blast (actually a modified pressure washer), he sent two flying into a pile of gym mats. Another got webbed up in industrial duct tape that Bekeridis had “upgraded.” The leader tried to detonate an explosive pack \u2014 Mpampis simply grabbed it, crushed it into a sad metal pancake, and tossed it aside like yesterday\u2019s loukoumades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In under ninety seconds, all five were zip-tied, face-down, and very much regretting their life choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the police sirens wailed closer, Iron Mpampis stood over them, arms crossed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Checkmate, malakes.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he powered down the suit, grabbed his forgotten lunchbox (still full of pastitsio), and walked out whistling the tune from Zorba the Greek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The school was saved. The hostages were freed. And from that day on, every kid in the building knew one unbreakable truth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never mess with a Wednesday\u2026 when Mpampis is in the building.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
